July 2, 2014, St. Thomas, Ont. – Amidst calls from across
the country for motorists to slow down in construction zones, a worker has been
struck and killed near St. Thomas, Ontario.

the country for motorists to slow down in construction zones, a worker has been
struck and killed near St. Thomas, Ontario.

 

According to a report from AM980,  55-year-old Brian J. Daniel of St.Thomas was directing
traffic around a boom lifton the Hwy. 3 bypass in the area of the Burwell Rd. overpass when he was struck by a pickup truck. Daniel was working for Facca Inc. Construction at the time of the accident, directing traffic just east of the overpass.

Police has charged 45-year-old Benjamin Clayton Dickout of Malahide Township with one count of dangerous driving causing death.
