Kadant acquires Texas-based screw conveyor manufacturer

WESTFORD, Mass. – Global sustainable industrial processing equipment supplier Kadant has completed an $84 million acquisition of KWS Manufacturing Co., a Texas-based conveying equipment manufacturer in the bulk material handling industry.

Located in Burleson, Texas, KWS’ team of roughly 165 employees specializes in manufacturing screw conveyors, screw feeders, slide gates and bucket elevators. With this acquisition, KWS will become part of Kadant’s Material Handling reporting segment.

Kadant also expressed excitement at this partnership, commenting on the alignment of both companies’ product portfolios and the enhancements that KWS’ addition will bring to internal operations.
