September 8, 2015 – PPI has agreed to acquire assets from a premier polymer roller manufacturer in the US and will assume production and sales of an exclusive HDPE and Nylon roller product group.
The acquisition timeline projects full production capabilities by winter 2015. As PPI develops and grows the polymer product, we will continue to produce legacy rolls to meet the needs of an existing customer group.
Polymer rolls have found a niche in the market by offering several key benefits: significant weight reductions compared to their steel equivalents; excellent wear and abrasion characteristics; and reduction in noise levels. For the past five years, PPI has gained experience manufacturing and selling our own proprietary polymer idler roll.
The addition of these new products and processes enables PPI to better serve a broad range of applications.
