PPI acquires Van Gorp Corporation

Pella, IA – Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI) has completed the acquisition of Van Gorp Corporation, a conveyor component manufacturer. Both companies are based in Pella, IA.

Founded in 1933, Van Gorp has been manufacturing portable conveyor systems for 66 years. The company will continue to operate as normal while PPI determines the optimal combined setup for both parties.

Joe Canfield, President of Van Gorp, expressed enthusiasm at the expanded possibilities and growth opportunities that result from this merger.

“The opportunity and timing to bring these two companies together was right,” Canfield said. “The optimization of the facilities and resources will ensure the products and services our customers count on everyday will only continue to improve.”
