NACKA, Sweden – The MTVR is a self-contained powerpack released by Epiroc to help with high-voltage drilling operations off-grid or in the absence of electrical infrastructure.

Cable management labour is minimized by a diesel-powered hydraulic system that directly connects to the drill’s mainframe, with the MTVR driving power for auxiliary drill functions such as leveling and tower positioning.

The wagon-mouthed powerpack also features radio remote control, allowing operators to move the unit between locations and worksites without compromising safety.

While the powerpack ensures that onsite operations continue in off-grid environments or in the event of a power outage, further versatility can be added with an optional cold weather package to ensure functionality in extreme climates.

The MTVR’s connection kit allows the powerpack to integrate with various hydraulic systems, including Epiroc’s electric blasthole range.
