Underpass construction, lane widening complete at Milliken GO Station

STOUFFVILLE, Ont. – Metrolinx has announced improvements to GO Stations on the Stouffville line have been completed, including upgrades to both Milliken and Agincourt Stations. 

Milliken’s GO Station has received a rail-over-road underpass and a widening on Steeles Avenue from four to six lanes, in addition to a major grade separation and bike lanes.  

Upgrades introduced to the Agincourt GO Station include the building of two new pedestrian tunnels, canopies and shelter protection, pick-up and drop-off improvements and an elevated walkway connecting passengers to Sheppard Avenue. A new second track and platform has also been built, alongside renovations to the existing platform. 

These upgrades are a part of Metrolinx’s overall GO expansion program, which seeks to provide the infrastructure upgrades these stations need to implement two-way, all-day GO Train service. As a part of this initiative, similar improvements were made to Unionville’s GO Station earlier this year.
