Term extension approved for CEO of Infrastructure Ontario

TORONTO, Ont. — Michael Lindsay will remain the president and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario (IO) for the next three years.

In a statement released Oct. 3, IO board chair David Lindsay said the extension of the current appointment was approved by the board at their September meeting and will be effective when Michael Lindsay’s current appointment ends, Nov. 1.

Prior to being appointed to his current role in 2020, Michael Lindsay served as IO’s president, project delivery and focused on supporting public and private partnerships, also known as P3’s.

David Lindsay said the CEO has led the agency in implementing new procurement processes over the last three years.

The Ontario Minister of Infrastructure, MPP Kinga Surma, commended Michael Lindsay for his strategic and operational leadership during his first term.

Plans for his second term include promoting greater diversity, equity and inclusion among the agency’s workforce, and to institute a framework to ensure a consistent approach to asset resilience, energy efficiency and accessibility.
