Spectator, Nelson Aggregates’ proposal to open a new quarry in Mount Nemo,
north of Burlington, has been denied.

Spectator, Nelson Aggregates’ proposal to open a new quarry in Mount Nemo,
north of Burlington, has been denied.

In
the 74-page judgment handed down by the consolidated hearing board on Thursday,
it was cited that a salamander habitat was a key factor in rejecting the
application, ending a process that began in June of 2008.
