Jan. 8, 2015 – Fatal collisions and road closures on highway 11 in Northern Ontario has the Temiskaming and Area Chamber of Commerce looking to turn the northern two-lane highway into a four-lane highway.
Highway 11 is part of the Trans-Canada Highway network and a preferred route for commercial truck traffic headed West. Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin told Northern Ontario Business that a four-laning project would be eligible for federal funding of between 25 and 50 per cent.
