Holcim announces new CEO to coincide with U.S. public listing

ZUG, Switzerland – Global construction materials provider Holcim has announced plans to transition to a new CEO come spring, with Miljan Gutovic to assume the position on May 1 to help in leading the planned listing of Holcim’s North American business on the U.S. stock market.

Gutovic comes from a background in civil engineering and has served on Holcim’s Group Executive Committee since 2018. He has also held the role of regional head for the Middle East, Africa and Europe, as well as leading Holcim’s Operational Excellence business.

“With decarbonization and advanced technologies transforming how we build, there has never been a more exciting time for our sector. I look forward to working with the Holcim teams around the world to advance our leadership,” Gutovic said.

Current CEO Jan Jenisch has served the company in his role since 2017. Following his departure, Jenisch plans to focus on his role as chairman in aiding with the company’s impending listing.
