
April 11, 2016 – Road construction in Quebec will reach $4.7 billion dollars at over 2,100 sites over the next two years.
According to an article from the CBC, ninety per cent of those funds represent rehabilitation work on existing roads and bridges across the province.
Close to one-third of those monies, approximately $1.4 billion, will be spent in the Montreal area. That includes significant work being done on the Turcot Interchange and the Ville Marie Expressway.
Upwards of $1.3 billion will be spent on measures meant to improve safety on highways throughout Quebec.
