Quebec waiting for billions for infrastructure

March 11, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

March 11, 2016 – Municipalities across Quebec are hoping that the provincial and federal governments get moving on sending out funds for local infrastructure projects.

According to an article in the Montreal Gazette, the municipalities have $14 billion worth of projects ready to go, but are still waiting for government funding.

The Conseil du Patronat, the province’s largest employer group, says that the $14 billion to be spent over the next three years would represent more than 100,000 jobs in the province and provides a significant boost to Quebec’s economy.
