
One B.C. resident is happy to see road work being done, but asks that it wait until everyone arrives at work.
In a letter to Kelowna’s CastaNet, an M. Robson states that “though I am not caught in the backup on Gordon between Vance and Maclure, I can see the frustration on the faces of the numerous commuters who are going through one-way, alternating traffic trying to get to work.
“Yes, the work has to be done but could it not start after the morning rush hour?”
The author cites not just the inconvenience, but the waste of fuel as people sit idling their vehicles and the “huge amount of money wasted and carbon dioxide being released.”
