July 27, 2016 – OSSGA is calling for presentation proposals for its 2017 conference and AGM! Want to speak to the leaders of our industry on some of the hottest and latest topics? Then submit an abstract for the OSSGA conference call for speakers.
What: OSSGA Conference and Annual General Meeting
When: February 15 to 17, 2017
Where: Westin Ottawa Hotel, Ottawa
Who: The OSSGA Conference and AGM brings together industry representatives from across Ontario for an action-packed agenda on topics such as resource management, collaborative efforts, emerging science and technology, resource management and much more.
Theme: Canada’s Story is Our Story, Celebrating Canada’s 150 Years
How to get involved:
We invite you to submit an abstract on the following topics:
Telling our story, Canada’s story – historic sites and future projects;
Running out of reserves close to market – answers/solutions/challenges;
Large Ontario projects that continue to build a strong Ontario (examples of work being done or are done: LRT Ottawa, Ottawa Dam, Toronto Subway Extension, 407 Extension, Windsor/401);
Recycling inert fill;
Public Outreach – Tell us about what work members are doing/what they can do;
Aggregate applications – Why they fail, why they succeed;
First Nations success story;
New CAP and trade rules impact;
Permits to operate after you get licenses – changes and impacts of modernization of approvals.
Bring your own presentation or panel (i.e. topical issues, OMB decisions, etc.):

Act fast! Proposals are due September 2, 2016.
Submissions must be sent to OSSGA no later than Friday, September 2 at 4 p.m. sharp.
