Outlook positive for potential Nova Scotia aggregate quarry project

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY, N.S. – Several potential aggregate and alternative energy projects across Nova Scotia’s Guysborough County have given the district’s warden a reason for economic positivity, including the potential for a local aggregate quarry overseen by Vulcan Minerals.

Vernon Pitts, warden of the Municipality of the District of Guysborough, has revealed that Vulcan Minerals are considering moving forward with the development of the Black Point aggregate quarry project, with Pitts adding that his outlook on the potential of the project is positive.

Pitts also mentioned two potential wind farms that could be coming to the area, including the Everwind Project as well as PHP Wind’s Goose Harbour Lake Windfarm.
