HOLLIDAYSBURG, PA – McLanahan has developed a sensor-based condition monitoring program to help producers observe machine health and realize the full lifespan of their equipment.

The modular package is comprised of sensors placed around their machines, which are connected to remote communication devices that deliver performance data including temperature, vibration, and pressure back to McLanahan. Technicians at the company will use this data to both provide customers with insight on their machines and optimize future designs.

These insights offer producers a way to maintain their bottom line by planning and preparing for any needed downtime, instead of facing it unexpectedly. “They can potentially push out maintenance windows or they could bring them forward, depending on the condition of the machine,” says Daniel Fairwebster, McLanahan’s electrical design manager.

This technology is compatible with the full suite of McLanahan’s equipment and is available both with purchase of the equipment or to be added and installed to any existing machine.
