HEIDELBERG, Germany – Heidelberg Materials has introduced the evoBuild low-carbon and circular product brand for the global market, characterized by an adherence to global sustainability credentials and standards.

Heidelberg Materials is the first company in the heavy construction materials industry to use globally-standardized criteria for labelling sustainability credentials, according to a press release.

evoBuild products will be gradually integrated into Heidelberg Materials’ portfolio across the 20-plus countries the company operates in. The products will be available in all business lines and are either low carbon (cement and concrete), circular (concrete) or feature both attributes.

The product line builds on the commitment to sustainable material solutions that Heidelberg began with November 2023’s launch of the evoZero brand of carbon-captured net-zero cement; with each line playing a key role in the company’s goal of having sustainable products comprise half of their revenue by 2030.

“The consistent evoBuild tiering is based on our sustainability strategy and significantly increases transparency towards our customers and stakeholders,” said Dr Nicola Kimm, chief sustainability officer at Heidelberg Materials. “This is an important step towards achieving one of our key targets on the way to net zero as we aim to generate 50% of our revenue with sustainable products by 2030.”
