BKT appoints new managing director

Minoo Mehta, managing director for BKT USA, Inc. and BKT Tire Inc., MUMBAI, India –, Minoo Mehta has been appointed to the role of managing director for BKT USA, Inc. and BKT Tire Inc., effective immediately. The appointment comes after Doug Kershaw resigned as President of the U.S. division of the company on Aug. 24.
Kershaw had only been with BKT for 20 months, having replaced Mehta in a leadership position December 2021, before being appointed as president in July 2022.
Coming from his position on the senior management team, Mehta has been playing a crucial role in creating customer-oriented teams and establishing their position in the U.S. market since 2014, playing, according to a release by the company.
Management of BKT’s verticals will remain unchanged, with vice presidents Alan Eskrow and Chris Roades to continue overseeing the company’s agricultural and medium and large OTR verticals, respectively.
BKT is in the top 30 of the world’s tire distributors, with global sales topping more than $1.25 billion last year, according to Tire Business. The company manufactures tires for heavy construction, earthmoving, off-road mining and agriculture vehicles.
Despite more off-highway entering the heavy equipment tire market, BKT expects a strong second-half to 2023, Kershaw said in June.
