Gold Medal Winner by the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel
Association (OSSGA).
The OSSGA Individual Safety Award Winner is named during the association's safety awards lunch with a video detailing the winner's accomplishments and given a certificate. The award recognizes leadership in the industry in either prevention or training. It is meant to be an acknowledgement of someone who has made a significant contribution to health and safety in the industry.
“Alex adds strong H&S leadership into the Butler Pit. He promotes his colleagues and direct reports to work in a safe environment, acts as role model, and dedicates more time with new and younger employees during their induction process. Alex is continuously proposing safer ways to improve tasks by incorporating new technology as well as every day ingenuity both in terms of daily work conducted and unique tasks,” said OSSGA.
