XL Specialized Trailers has introduced the low-profile hydraulic detachable gooseneck (HDG) trailer to its lineup, which has been designed specifically to haul paving equipment and additionally can transport a multitude of machines.

The XL low-profile HDG has tapered front beams, offering an extremely low load angle of only four degrees. Additionally, 42-inch flip ramps provide extra loading assistance, making it an ideal solution for the paving industry.

The new trailer features a 13-foot gooseneck with a swing clearance of 110 inches. The relief cut-out in the gooseneck provides additional space between the truck and trailer, and the sloped nose of the gooseneck protects the air and electric connections from damage. Additionally, the neck offers a five-position ride height. As a result of the neck position and load, the deck can be levelled as needed with the adjustable wheel area at ride-height.

The deck itself is 26 feet long and features a loaded deck height of 24 inches with an 8-inch ground clearance. The also trailer includes a 14-foot-long rear deck that has a 40-inch loaded deck height.
