Tsurumi plans agitator pump showcase at Boston’s Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, ILL. – Tsurumi Pump are set to display their KRS and KTD series pumps for the tunneling and excavation industries at the 2023 Rapid Excavation & Tunneling Conference, taking place from June 11-14 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
The company will occupy booth 822 at the conference, where they will display some of its most widely used agitator pumps for tunneling and excavation, the KTD22.0 and KRS2-150. In a press statement Tsurumi said that the conference will be a valuable opportunity to showcase their pump’s capabilities in excavation projects where durability is needed.
“Our KTD22.0 and KRS2-150 pumps fit the tunneling and excavation market quite well,” explained Slater Blanchard, the company’s Southwest sales manager. “These pumps have an integral agitator that enables them to move water with small and medium-sized suspended solids.”
The KTD series is a submersible three-phase cast-iron slurry pump equipped with an agitator for smooth suction of settled matters. Its parts are made of wear-resistant materials and are designed for efficient motor cooling and for potential applications in confined spaces.
Tsurumi’s KRS series is a drainage pump featuring a four-pole low-speed motor to support high-volume, heavy duty operations. A top discharge and flow-thru design allows for cooling efficiency, along with continuous operation at low water levels and extended dry-run capability.
