Saskatoon increases roads budget for 2015

April 2, 2015 – The City of Saskatoon is increasing its
budget for road construction and rehabilitation in 2015, spending an additional
$3 million over 2014 for a total of $53 million.

budget for road construction and rehabilitation in 2015, spending an additional
$3 million over 2014 for a total of $53 million.
According to a report from Global News, the municipality is
going to take advantage of an early melt and dry streets to begin rolling out
construction projects ahead of schedule, with some beginning in the next few
weeks.
Three major roadway projects will be among those beginning
shortly. Major repairs to stretches of Wanuskewin Road, Taylor Street and 22nd
Street are among the roads that will see early repairs, including specific
attention to potholes, in the coming weeks.
