New Mountain Highway Interchange on and off ramps to open

November 13, 2019  By Government of B.C.

Nov. 13, 2019, B.C. – As part of the Mountain Highway Interchange project, both the new westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp will be open to traffic starting Nov. 2, 2019.

Drivers are advised that for a short period, the westbound on-ramp will only be open to traffic travelling south on Mountain Highway. The westbound on-ramp will open to northbound traffic once the New Mountain Highway overpass is complete in December 2019.

The new ramps will provide North Shore residents with better connectivity to and from Highway 1, and better distribute traffic among the three Lower Lynn interchanges.

This work is part of the Highway 1 Lower Lynn Improvement project, which will significantly shorten commute times and improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists on the North Shore.
