Motion appoints new president

Motion's new president, James Howe. (Photo credit: Motion, Instagram) IRONDALE, AL – Motion, a distributor of maintenance, repair and replacement parts, has appointed James Howe to president of the company.
With a tenure of 30 years with the company, Howe most recently served as Motion’s executive vice president and chief commercial and technology officer, where he oversaw a variety of initiatives in e-commerce, sales, strategic pricing, corporate accounts and human resources.
Despite this new leadership structure, Howe will continue to report to Randy Breaux, the group president of Motion’s parent company, Genuine Parts Co. (GPC).
“James has an impressive history, having served in numerous executive roles during his long career at Motion,” said Paul Donahue, chairman and CEO of GPC. “His extensive experience makes him an excellent choice to lead Motion. We feel confident that under James’ leadership, our talented and experienced Motion team will continue to achieve great results.”
