December 11, 2015 By Andrew Macklin
December 11, 2015 – Work on the Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk highway in being delayed until early 2016 as a result of mild winter weather conditions.
According to a CBC article, work is being done on an ice road to haul gravel on for use in the project. Building ice bridges that can support the weight of the haul trucks takes temperatures in the -20 to -30 degrees celsius range.
