DEVELON’s 7-series wheel loaders to feature new suite of smart technologies

SUWANEE, GA – DEVELON’s crop of 2023 7-series wheel loaders are set to arrive on the market with new technologies developed by the company, including the company’s exclusive Transparent Bucket feature and an around view monitor (AVM) camera system.

The Transparent Bucket technology was developed to minimize blind spots for operators when the bucket is raised. This is achieved through two cameras, each installed with protective guarding, mounted high on the cab and low on the axle of the machine.

These cameras are automatically adjusted by the system to deliver a video feed to the in-cab monitor as if the bucket was invisible, allowing for unobstructed views and more precise digging operations.

Further visibility is provided to operators via the AVM camera system. Three cameras, alongside a number of sensors, are mounted on the rear of the wheel loader to achieve up to 270 degrees of visibility. Combined with the Transparent Bucket technology and oversized cab windows, these technologies help 7-series models be capable of nearly 360 degrees of visibility.

Additional smart technology installed on DEVELON’s 7-series includes a fleet telematics system for remote maintenance and monitoring, situational awareness technology that allows for automated output control, a Smart Guidance system to provide driving habit analytics, and a Smart Load weighing system to offer operators real-time data on bucket material.
