March 2023, SUWANEE, Ga. –  For the next generation in their 7-Series line, DEVELON are set to release their largest crawler excavator to date in the DX1000LC-7.

Weighing in at over 100 metric tons, DEVELON reports that their new model is well-suited for their aggregate and quarry customers. The model is to be released this month, with its roll-out having started several weeks ago with a full display of the machine at CONEXPO-CONAGG 2023 in Las Vegas.

Joe Escalante, senior product specialist at DEVELON, said in a press statement that the size of the machine allows for the efficient loading of trucks at quarries, in addition to excavating and stockpiling large amounts of materials.

The DX1000LC-7 has several features that aim to increase onsite productivity, including variable swing speed, a hydraulic counterweight for simplified transportation of the machine, and an improved focus on the machine’s wear points.

This focus on durability is seen in design elements such as a crossed-design swing bearing to support stress distribution, along with heavy-duty wear plates bolted to the end of the excavator arm to maintain high breakout forces. Standard telematics also allow operators and dealers to remotely monitor the machine’s health, location, and productivity from an app or website.

Other built-in features that comprise the DX1000LC-7 are a 360-degree all-around view monitor (AVM) for enhanced visibility in large sites, adjustable “boom” or “swing” movement modes, and a D-ECOPOWER system, an exclusive hydraulic system that aims to save fuel by controlling and optimizing oil flow and available horsepower.

The cab comes equipped with a number of quality-of-life adjustments for operators, including heated seats, ergonomically designed foot pedals, and an eight-inch touch-screen LCD monitor.
