Canadian partnership developing AI software for roadwork bidding

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – RSG International has teamed up with RedBit Development and Queen’s University’s QMind student group to develop AI Partner, an artificial intelligence tool designed for use in bidding and proposal processes in the roadbuilding and construction industries.

AI Partner will be designed to assist in the understanding, creation and refinement of contract proposals, using its technology to give professionals in the roadbuilding and construction industries a better understanding of complex documentation processes. The technology can also be used to support training programs during onboarding practices.

“We’d like to show people the construction industry is creative and innovative,” explained Elliot Steele, vice-president of technology at RSG International. “We want to pair our staff members across our brands with a tool they can use to accelerate the understanding of complex documents.”

Steele has also announced a commitment to ensuring the technology stays Canadian by partnering with firms across the country. The team hopes to showcase the AI Partner platform at the 2024 Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CUCAI).
