Canadian Association of Women in Construction’s 2023 bursary program now open

May 6, 2023, MISSISSAUGA, ON – Applications are now open for the Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC)’s 2023 bursary program, which aims to connect and open doors for women across the construction industry.
Last year’s edition of the program saw a total of $26,000 awarded to 16 women across Canada, with 10 $2,000 bursaries presented by CAWIC and six $1,000 bursaries awarded by the program’s silver sponsor, Cooper Equipment Rentals.
Prospective applicants include any female-identifying Canadian citizens or those with permanent resident status, who can demonstrate financial need, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Applicants must also have completed the first year of a diploma or degree program and be enrolled in one the following year.
The bursary term begins in September, with applications due on or before June 30. CAWIC stated a commitment to notify each applicant of their award status by August 30.
