December 10, 2012,
Mississauga, Ont. – The Ontario Hot Mix Producers Association (OHMPA) is
pleased to introduce its new Executive Director, Doug Duke. Mr. Duke, who
previously served for seven years as the Executive Officer of the
Hamilton-Halton Home Builders’ Association (HHHBA), is taking the reigns over
from Michael O’Connor who is retiring this month and was OHMPA’s CEO for the
past 15 years.

“I am extremely excited about
the opportunity to work alongside the staff and volunteers at OHMPA,” said Mr.
Duke. “This organization enjoys a very high profile and a wonderful reputation
that I will work hard to grow and expand on. I understand that I have some big
shoes to fill and I want to wish Mike O’Connor all the best in his retirement
years.”

Having spent over 12 years working in the
residential construction industry, Mr. Duke has extensive experience in
association and not-for-profit leadership. During his tenure at the HHHBA, he
served for five years as director and chair of the Heritage Green Community
Trust in Stoney Creek and for nearly two years as chair of the Canadian Home
Builders’ Association Executive Officers’ Council. Prior to his non-profit and
association career, he worked as a senior editor for the Hamilton Community
News. Mr. Duke was a graduate of the three-year Journalism program at Humber
College.
