Bromley Creek quarry receives five-year permit

November 27, 2023  By Rock to Road Staff

PRINCETON, B.C. – The Bromley Creek zeolite quarry has received a five-year permit, in partnership with International Zeolite Corp. and Progressive Planet Solutions, a global CleanTech company.

The permit allows for quarry operations through 2028, with Progressive Planet also exploring options to increase the permitted maximum annual extraction of zeolite to 20,000 tonnes. For both groups, this permit presents an opportunity to add to zeolite’s growth as a material in both the cement and agriculture industries.

“Working with a common goal of increasing zeolite awareness, validating new products, and establishing new markets has been our focus for years,” said Ray Paquette, CEO of International Zeolite. “Partnering with Progressive Planet to operate the Bromley Creek quarry is an exciting opportunity for both companies to unite complementary visions.”

Currently, zeolite from the quarry is used in the production of natural soil conditioner (under the brand Green Patch) and as a flowing and anti-caking agent in feed additive (under the Z-Lite brand).
