Maximizing Equipment Productivity Through Diagnostics

Thursday, March 27 at 10 a.m.

As the aggregates market continues to grow and plants expand their operating hours to meet demand, it’s becoming even more critical to keep equipment running at peak performance and avoid unplanned downtime. One way they can do so is with diagnostics systems. Haver & Boeker Niagara’s service manager Wilm Schulz will share his expertise through an educational session highlighting how quarries can maximize their equipment’s productivity with diagnostics. Wilm will give an in-depth explanation about how diagnostics systems work with producers’ equipment and explain the different types of equipment monitoring: point in time and continual. Attendees can expect to learn when to use each diagnostic type, the pros and cons of each type of equipment monitoring and when it’s advantageous to use them. This is a great opportunity for producers to learn how to get the most out of their equipment and take a proactive approach to machine maintenance.

Advanced Dust Control Solutions: Integrating Low-Cost Dust Monitors and Water Truck Technologies

Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m.

Dust control is a big topic in quarries as operations are constantly looking for the most efficient way to keep their dust levels below EPA thresholds.

In Philippi-Hagenbuch’s portion of the presentation, attendees will learn about the important role water tanks play in mitigating dust in quarries. That includes discussion around essential water tank features that optimize spraying to efficiently minimize dust control costs, and specific water tank design elements that improve safety, maintenance and overall functionality. The session will also cover how water tanks can work with producers’ existing hauling fleets and extend the life of their trucks.
