British Columbia’s Blue Book is out

BURNABY — The BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association’s Blue Book is now available.
The Blue Book Equipment Rental Rate Guide is a standard in British Columbia for determining the industry’s equipment rental rates. It is used by private contractors, large corporations and the government. It is published each year by the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association, in partnership with the BC Ministry of Transportation.
The Ministry of Transportation annual rates for the guide are determined, in part, on recommendations from the Association’s Blue Book Committee, as well as its own research and calculations.
The published rental rates are a guide and each operator must determine if the rates apply to their individual circumstances.
The Association states its involvement is to advocate for fair rental rates that reflect the true costs of operating construction equipment in B.C.
