February 18, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

February 18, 2016 – Chinese construction machinery manufacturer Zoomlion is continuing to push forward in its bid to acquire Terex.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the $3.3 billion bid for Terex was made after the company had already agreed to merge with Finnish manufacturer Konecranes.

The Chinese firm has stated that it now has a concrete plan in place for acquiring Terex, which includes 60 per cent bank financing and 40 per cent cash.

Zoomlion is actively pursuing the purchase of a North American or European based construction manufacturer as it looks to significantly expand its global reach past China and emerging Asian markets.
