Worker dies in Que. road construction accident

October 22, 2015 – A road construction worker in Fort Qu’Appelle, Que. has died following an accident involving compaction equipment.

According to a Global News report, the 49-year-old man over a compactor on a stretch of Highway 56 that was being rehabilitated. Shortly before 6:00p.m., the machine left the road.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Occupational Health and Safety and the RCMP are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
