Work underway on Gordie Howe bridge project
By Andrew Macklin
June 1, 2016 – Perimeter work on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project is now underway in Windsor, Ont.
There are three components to the Early Works portion of the bridge project: utility relocation, construction of a perimeter access road and the placement of fill, grading and drainage.
The new Perimeter Access Road, being built by Amico Infrastructures, will be a new two-lane, four-kilometre route. The road will be built to municipal standards.
