December 9, 2016 – OSSGA learned that the Justice Committee has met and established a timeline for hearings on Bill 39. The Committee will meet for two days of hearings, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 and Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Deadline for Requests to Appear are 12 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the hearing.

All delegations will be given 10 minutes to present, with three minutes per caucus for questions to follow thereafter. The deadline for written submissions will be 6 p.m. on March 2, 2017.
OSSGA has logged its request to appear with the Committee Clerk and in addition to submitting our brief to the EBR and to the Minister, has submitted our proposed actual wording changes to Bill 39 to Minister McGarry’s staff.
