Trimble rebrands construction management platform

September 15, 2021  By Rock to Road Staff

Trimble has renamed and upgraded its ViewpointOne cloud-based construction management platform.

The platform, now called Trimble Construction One, allows contractors to access all the information they need for decision making.

All ViewpointOne customers have been automatically transferred to Trimble Construction One.

With the new software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, contractors can connect data from the planning phases of a project – from estimating, to design and detailing, to content and pricing services – to the project actuals through an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, leading to more predictable construction outcomes.

They can also keep track of project management, field management and service management, and map that data back to the project to ensure proper resource use and cost savings.

The platform also encompasses financial management, business operations management, job costing, payroll and procurement together with ongoing project completion rates.

For example, heavy highway contractors can manage equipment maintenance schedules, keep track of job site safety and industry standards, and access information that can lead to more accurate bidding.

Having access to this level of data can help contractors with myriad decisions, including whether or not to take on a new project, when hiring should occur, or what the project margins are likely to be, the company says.
