The high cost of not commuting: Halifax bridges lose millions due to COVID-19

Halifax – Halifax Harbour Bridges is putting off some non-essential maintenance work and cutting spending as its revenues fall off due to a lack of traffic on the Macdonald and MacKay bridges.
Alison MacDonald, communications manager for Halifax Harbour Bridges, said bridge traffic in April 2020 was only 45 per cent of normal volume. | CBC News reports
