Telsmith promotes Hydra-Jaw Crusher at World of Asphalt/AGG1 2018

March 7, 2018 – Telsmith, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mineral processing equipment, is promoting its Hydra-Jaw Crusher at the 2018 AGG1 Expo in Houston, Texas from March 6 to 8 at Booth 2218.

The Hydra-Jaw is ideal for a number of processing applications such as aggregates, mining, and recycling, and is available in three configurations; stationary, track and wheeled portable plants.

The jaw series includes four models, the H2238, H2550, H3244 and H3450 with crusher closed side settings from 2 inches (51mm) to 8 inches (203mm) and crushing capacities ranging from 100 short tons per hour (91 mtph) to 688 short tons per hour (614 mtph).

Innovative in its simplicity, the Hydra-Jaw toggle tensioning system saves time and costs by eliminating the need to adjust springs when changing the setting. A simple mechanical spring assembly secures each hydraulic toggle end to its respective toggle seat. By securing each end independently, there is no need to adjust the springs when the setting is changed. Quick to assemble and reliable in operation, the assembly requires no special tools or maintenance.

The core of the Telsmith hydraulic toggle system is the robust Hydra-Jaw hydraulic cylinder. Custom built specifically for the crushing environment, the cylinder incorporates a large piston for high crushing forces and an “oversized” rod for stability and strength. The unique bushing and seal are designed to hold up to the rigors of constant crushing in a dusty environment to deliver long service life with minimal maintenance.

Telsmith engineers safety into every product. Following a power failure or emergency stop, Telsmith’s unique hydraulic chamber clearing system allows the crusher to start up in as little as 15 minutes. Through push button controls, hydraulics crush any stone that remains in the chamber preventing oversized material from passing onto the product belt. Your workers stay safe, no digging out the crusher or clearing off the belt, and the plant starts back up as if nothing had happened.
