April 11, 2016 – The Government of Canada has agreed to provide one-third of the cost of the $80 million Maley Drive extension project in Sudbury.
According to a CBC News article, the three levels of government will each contribute approximately $26.7 million to the project, which will help provide a better route for ore trucks leaving the region.
The Maley Drive extension project has been a municipal priority for the last 25 years, but is now able to move forward with the funding commitments from both the provincial and federal government.
