Scholarships and awards presented at ORBA 2020

Angus MacRae from Queen's University, Maria Banayoty from Ryerson University and Stephen Vasilopoulos from Georgian College received civil engineer scholarships. The theme of the Ontario Road Builders’ Association Convention and AGM was “Staying Ahead of the Curve”. Several members and students were presented with awards for doing what they can do to prepare for and remain ahead of any industry curveballs.
The awards were presented by ORBA and OAPC at an awards breakfast sponsored by KalTire at the conference in Toronto on Feb. 4, 2020.

The ORBA Community Leadership Award recognizes an ORBA member for selflessly undertaking philanthropic activities or providing community service for the betterment of their community.
ORBA presented the 2020 award to Powell Contracting.
ORBA is dedicated to promoting the highest standard of health and safety. The Routly Safety Awards were presented to:
- Upper Canada Road Services Inc.
- Dagmar Construction Inc.
- Capital Paving Inc.
