Manitoba PTH 100 lanes open early

December 29, 2018  By Manitoba Infrastructure

Manitoba Infrastructure advises the westbound lanes on the Red River Bridge along the south Perimeter Highway (PTH 100) have reopened.  The lane was closed in November after a detailed inspection and assessment found cracking in the bridge deck concrete.

Originally expected to be closed until Jan. 4, 2019, favourable conditions allowed the contractor to finish the work ahead of schedule.

All lanes are now open after traffic was detoured to a single lane in each direction in the eastbound lanes while repairs to westbound lanes are undertaken.

Manitoba Infrastructure thanks the public for its patience during construction.
