Dec. 10, 2014 – The Speedsville road bridge that crosses Highway 401 in Cambridge is almost complete.

The two-lane bridge was demolished in May to be rebuilt after being in place for over 50 years. The construction contract requires it be open no later than December 15 but it could be open as early as Tuesday, according to The Record.

The $16.9 million dollar project is part of the Government of Ontario's focus on rebuilding highway infrastructure in areas feeding traffic to the Greater Toronto Area, including the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
