January 17, 2018  By  Andrew Snook

January 17, 2018 – The U.K.’s second-largest construction firm, Carillon PLC, declared bankruptcy on January 15.

This has raised very serious concerns about the future status of the company’s 23,000 workers, including 6,000 residing in Canada.

The firm’s collapse also creates uncertainty in regards to the company’s unfinished projects and current service contracts around the globe. In Canada, Carillon is the largest road service contractor and is contracted for the snow plowing and maintenance of 40,000 kilometres of Ontario and Alberta highways.
