Ring of Fire road could cost $550M

August 31, 2016 – According to recent story published by The Globe and Mail, building a road that would connect remote First Nations communities in the mineral-rich Ring of Fire to the south could cost upwards of $550 million. 

The Globe and Mail obtained a copy of the All-Season Community Road Study, a $785,000 study funded by the provincial and federal governments that reviewed options for creating a new road or rail line for potential new mining development while addressing the needs of First Nations communities.
