N.S. reduces spending on roads, bridges

announced that it will reduce government spending in 2015, including for road
and bridge work.

announced that it will reduce government spending in 2015, including for road
and bridge work.
A report from the CBC, the government has reduced its
overall spending by eight per cent overall for the upcoming year.
In 2014, Nova Scotia committed $235 million to highway
infrastructure in the province. Because of the cut, that number will drop to
$220 million for 2015.
It is expected, however, that part of that money will be set
aside to twin a controversial section of Highway 103, just outside of Halifax.
But the province has suggested that they may look at other traffic calming
measures to address the problem.
