Located
on Highway 7, the Crowe River Bridge is part of the main thoroughfare in
Marmora. The improvements include repairing and repaving the bridge deck,
replacing the barrier wall and making various repairs to the concrete.

"The
Crowe River Bridge is an integral part of Marmora and a key transportation
corridor along Highway 7. These repairs will create jobs, reduce future
maintenance costs and provide safer travel for local residents and
businesses," said Daryl Kramp, Member of Parliament for Prince
Edward–Hastings

This is one
of the 44 initiatives receiving funding through the Provincial-Territorial Base
Fund, where the Government of Canada is providing $175 million to strengthen
infrastructure in Ontario. Ontario is contributing $173 million to these
initiatives, while other partners, including municipalities, will provide
another $54 million.
