Renewed call to twin Highway 104

January 4, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

January 4, 2016 – The Barneys River Fire Department is the latest organization to call for the twinning of a stretch of Highway 104 near New Glasgow in Nova Scotia.

According to an article from the New Glasgow News, Fire Chief Joe MacDonald is continuing his call to have the highway twinned, even more so in the wake of another incident that saw two people injured and traffic tied up for several hours.

MacDonald mentioned that, since 2009, there have been 325 accidents and 14 fatalities on the stretch of Highway 104 from Sutherlands River to Antigonish.
