CON-E-CO, an Oshkosh Corporation company, has introduced the LO-PRO 427CM Central Mix (CM) batch plant. This high-output unit is available with a new 48-inch-wide mixer-charging belt. When combined with a CON-E-CO tilt mixer, the plant can achieve production of up to 350 cubic yards per hour.

The 427CM batch plant is engineered to easily accept optional bolt-on expansion modules, making the plant easy to grow as the customer’s production needs increase.
Additional features on the 427CM include a patented LO-PRO “blending” cement batcher for enhanced product quality, configuration for either dump truck or transit mixer truck charging and “Live Bottom” aggregate batcher for smoother operation.

BedRock
BedRock Software, LLC has added Terex Finlay Track-Mounted (mobile) equipment to its AggFlow simulation program. BedRock, working with Terex Finlay engineers, has developed and introduced the Terex Finlay line of track-mounted crushing and screening equipment.

Aggregate producers, equipment manufacturers and dealers can simulate aggregate and mining operations by calculating mass aggregate and mass water balances flowing through a plant simulation using both stationary and mobile equipment.

Simulations help improve profitability by identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, by accurately assessing the impact of proposed changes or new equipment before they are made, and by reducing plant down time and production errors.

John Deere
John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) introduced a new generator drive Tier 3 emergency stationary power rating for its PowerTech E 9.0L diesel engine at the POWER-GEN International 2010 show, Dec. 14-16, 2010, in Orlando, Fla.

The new power rating the 6090HFG86, is 345 kWm at 1800 r.p.m., which offers customers a competitive advantage with a key power node of 300 kWe standby power in a 9.0L displacement.

The 345 kWm rating at 1,800 rpm is available in the JDPS lineup with a PowerTech Plus 13.5L, but the new PowerTech E 9.0L engine offers increased power density in a smaller package.

Grasan
Grasan, a manufacturer of portable and stationary crushing, screening, storage, conveying and other handling equipment, offers a new, rugged all-steel barge engineered for use with clamshell dredges. The barge is designed to withstand exceptionally rough loading of boulders up to several thousand pounds. The barge shown here was custom designed for a sand and gravel operation where oversize rocks up to 36 inches in diameter and too large for the floating conveyor line are dropped down a steep 20-foot chute to the barge mounted alongside the dredge. When full, it is pushed to shore by an outboard motor powered, flat-nosed pusher vessel and unloaded with an excavator. The pictured barge weighs about 77,000 lb. with a load capacity of approximately 53,000 lb.

Volvo Construction Equipment offers two models of versatile, high-frequency, high-amplitude (HFA) compactors — the DD118HFA and the DD138HFA.

Through SMART drum technology, each of these HFA compactors can be used for a wide variety of applications. Each amplitude setting is automatically adjusted to the highest frequency for that amplitude selection, enabling the operator to use lower amplitudes with higher frequency on thinner lifts to increase productivity with decreased risk of damage to aggregate structure or sub-grade, and higher amplitude with lower frequency on thicker lifts and stiffer materials. This flexibility once required two separate compactors.

Polar Lube
Most air tool and pneumatic control users are unaware that air lines can freeze up at 40 F. As the pressure drops from 100 pounds per square inch down to atmosphere through the tool or valve, the compressed air, which is always at 100 per cent humidity, supercools rapidly and can freeze up the equipment.

Polar Lube technology replaces your regular lubricant in the filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit and prevents freeze-up. In fact, it will protect air lines at temperatures as low as -60 F. Adding it to a frozen tool inlet will unfreeze the tool.

Polar Lube is suitable for any unheated space applications in industrial plants, pipelines, mills, and forestry, construction, military and government facilities. It lubricates and will not affect o-rings, seals, rotor blades, bowls or hoses, and is compatible with all drop, mist or automatic lubricators.

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has released two new series of reflectorless total stations – GPT-3200NW and GPT-3200N.

New features of GPT-3200NW include enhanced non-prism measurement performance, improved user interface and increased onboard data collection capability. GPT-3200N, which offers reflectorless distance measurement up to 1,310 feet (400 metres) and includes TopField software, is available only in Central and South American markets.

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has added the HiPer II, a smaller, lighter, more affordable receiver for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning applications, to its HiPer series.
